L-1 Denial Rates
A recent NFAP report shows a considerable increase in L-1 denial rates over the past four years.
L-1 is a non-immigrant work visa design specifically for high-skilled professionals transferring to a company office in the United States.
The denial rate has been steadily growing since 2008 and reached its peak of 34% last year, in 2013.
The USCIS often issues requests for evidence on an unusual high number of L-1 applications that adds considerably to the amount of paperwork and expenses for the petitioners.
