Katerina Utekhina

 

Katerina Utekhina is a licensed immigration attorney with extensive and wide-ranging experience in all areas of immigration law.  After graduating from Saratov State Academy of Law in 1993 in Saratov, Russia, with a degree in Jurisprudence, she received her LLM from Temple Law School in Philadelphia, PA in 2000.  She has been practicing immigration law for 8 years and is a member of American Immigration Lawyers Association.

After working successfully at the firm of Sancheti, K Ashar & Utekhina, she embarked upon starting her own immigration law firm with the goal of providing a wide range of immigration services at the highest level available.  Among the many services she provides are:

  • Manages various employment-based non-immigrant and immigrant petitions, including H1-B, L-1, EB-1, adjustment of status applications and interviews, employment authorization documents, PERM and consular applications, I-9 compliance/employer sanctions;
  • Represents diverse foreign groups ranging from business persons, IT professionals, executives, experts, researchers, doctors, and health care professionals;
  • Optimizes the client’s immigration benefits by providing expert opinions, practical solutions, and prompt services;
  • Orchestrates complex processing of immigrant petitions for those individuals with extraordinary abilities who are at the top 1% of their fields in science, medicine, and the arts, or whose admission is deemed in the U.S. national interest;
  • Manages immigration petitions regarding hardship waivers and labor certifications;
  • Achieves 99% rate of approval on all immigrant petitions by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS);
  • Successful with difficult cases that others have not been able to get resolved, e.g., obtained approval for a cardiologist who had petitioned for 11 years with three other attorneys without success;
  • Researches professions and skills of petitioners and prepares petitions to convey all information in a convincing manner;
  • Provides a high level of individualized attention to each petitioner, and explains petition processes and instructions clearly and in detail.
